Things I bought, things I want

This Zero+Maria Cornejo velvet bubble top is like the most luxurious sweatshirt I’ve ever owned. I plan on dressing it way down, with jeans, and wearing it always, in order to get the cost-per-wear down.

I tried this floral-print puffer on the other day at the Ulla Johnson store on Bleecker Street and it is just so insanely good (even though it looks just slightly insane until you put it on) that I had to share it with you even though it exceeds the GOACA price limit rather egregiously.

In my ongoing effort to veer away from black (it’s a losing battle, but I do try) I’m looking for some colorful sweaters. This one is cashmere, somewhat well-priced, and a really good orange, which is a tough color to get right.

I used to have to go to black-tie events all the time when I was an editor in chief, and always sweated my evening bag situation, which I feared I never got quite right. I so wish I had come across this one, which isn’t too teensy, and is really sweet.

This silk dress looks not only insanely comfortable, but like the kind of thing I’d throw on when I’m in a quandary over what to wear. Another one that I’d snap up in an instant if I still worked in an office.

  1. Great choices, I love the Ulla Johnson puffer!

I prefer faux, and was disappointed the trim was real.

Faux fur always wins. The silk dress looks like it’d be very cold to wear, no?

It always kills me when I see something so cute (and pricey) like the Staud velvet drawstring bag, and I know I could make it!

Don’t apologize for wearing black…it’s in our DNA.
