The photos of the deserted areas put in mind the novel, Station Eleven, by Emily St. John Mandel.

    Pantone swatch photos. Love them.

    Good for Nicki Minaj.

The Leighton Centre in Canada’s Rocky Mountain foothills did a paint swatch exercise with my chil’s kindergarten class more than a decade ago. The staff gave each child a paint swatch, then everyone had to go stand under one of A.C. Leighto ‘s paintings in the gallery. The teachers told them that they were all correct, because the colors were in all of the paintings. This was a transformative exercise for the children, who are open to art at that age. It tra sformed me, too, because I now choose wall colors based on memories…the sky color from my travels, the ripe wheat fields, etc.

I’ve seen those tree-goat photos before. Love them every time I see them.

Limited exposure to goats so why do I think that — next to dogs — they are the cutest? If I won the lottery I would move to the country (near a cool city) and get me some goats. We’d hang out with the dogs by the pond — maybe do some fishing; maybe have a picnic; maybe take a nap in a hammock while the goats “mow” the lawn.

Okay, enough about my life in the country with goats daydream. Have a great holiday weekend all!
