  • These pictures of girls, from Kate T. Parker’s new book, Strong is the New Pretty, are just great.
  • And these photos of major cities around the world looking completely deserted are pretty cool too. (Flavorwire)
  • And even more photographs: these landscapes from Turkish digital artist and photographer Aydin Buyuktas are downright trippy. (Colossal)
  • Elena Ferrante’s novels are set to become a 32-part miniseries. (Kottke)

    Thanks for sharing.

Yes to strong girls who become stronger women…

    Yes to those photographs.

No to anymore attention for the Neopolitan series by Ferrante. Could hardly make my way through the first one and could not, for the life of me, figure out what all the hype was about. Didn’t like the writing or the characters.

The Simpsons prediction of the Trump presidency: “. . .it was consistent with the vision of America going insane.” Yep.

Strong is the New Pretty makes me think the upcoming generations will be able to handle the mess we are in and that is such a good feeling.

“Strong is the New Pretty” moved me to tears. Beautifully STRONG!

What a powerful medium is photography!

Some of the writers on the Simpsons are mathematicians. David X. Cohen is and painstakingly worked out all of the science/math formulas that appeared in Futurama.
