Print of the week

rebecca taylor jacket

Possibly it’s because I’ve returned home from vacation with a refreshed appreciation for Latin American prints; possibly it’s because, viewed full-length, the pattern of this Rebecca Taylor coat actually sort of resembles the world’s most sophisticated Union Jack. All I know for sure is that I want and I want and I want.

So gorgeous. Yet another beautiful coat/jacket/sweater to look at longingly while we swelter in LA’s usual September furnace.

      Ditto.

I’m back in Texas as of yesterday and today’s high is supposed to hit 93. I look at that jacket and think, “yes, it is beautiful,” but the thought of putting a layer of anything over my thin little t-shirt melts my brain.

I love that. I’m telling myself, in a firm and commanding voice that (1) it is too expensive for me and (2) I would stain it horribly within minutes of putting it on.

    Firmly. Very firmly.

It went from summer to fall overnight in Chicago, so I’m suddenly conscious of my lack of appropriate outerwear. Love the woven design of this coat, and the fact that it isn’t shapeless as so much is out there right now. Wishing it was a slightly lower price point so I could buy it.
