Molly Ringwald – she is so fabulous! Though I don’t currently live in New York, my New York coincides with hers to a large degree. I’m wearing a Barbara Shaum wristband right now.

The picture in the Post article is great – imagine hanging out with Gena Rowlands and John Cassavetes in NY.

It all makes me want to run out and dye my hair red.

Why do these young writers screw up so badly? Do they not have the confidence in what they write so they have to make up stuff to sound better or more intelligent? Really stupid.

For some reason, I dislike Jonathan Adler. I think it’s from his time on that design show on some cable network. I don’t even remember what he did or said that made me not like him. I feel the same about that Kelly Wearstler person. I didn’t like their persona. I need to get over myself!!

I know what you mean, and it’s part of why I try to avoid most coverage of artists I like. Under a microscope, we all have flaws and bad days. It was years before anyone in my family could watch a Woody Allen movie again. Some things I just don’t want to know.

Having said that, Adler’s husband Doonan’s column on Slate is hii-larious. The man can write. (Also, not enough people are named Simon.) So by extension, Adler can’t be that bad. Oops, now I’m projecting. Anyhoo, it really is a good column.
